Ambitious or Annoying?
Okay I need some advice here... I am a social worker and I am moving to a hot city and I am really interested in working at the VA hospital there. I own reinstatement eligibility for a year because I did my internship at another VA hospital. There are no job postings for a position right now though. Should I travel ahead and send my resume into the HR department? I do not want to be annoying or have them put it within a pile never to be seen again. Does anyone who has worked surrounded by HR before have any guidance? Should I just go for it and hope for the best? Thanks for any input!

Americorps application - Must enter supervisor's email address?
I've worked at 3 jobs and have to include the email address of a supervisor at respectively job on the application. It's a required part of the online application. My current supervisor doesn't enjoy an email address and I have no idea around my other ones. It has to be in email form or it won't dispatch. What should I put in there? Would something approaching none(a)noemail.com be acceptable?


Americorps Vista- is it glib to catch in/is it worth it?
I am interested in joining AmeriCorps Vista and relocate. Can anyone serve and is it easy to procure into? Is the relocation allowance enough to move with? Is the living allowance adequate to live off of and are taxes already taken out of what they give you? After your year of service, will employer look at your service as an asset?


Ample salary opportunity working for elected representatives?
I was recently offered an entry-level opening with homeland security as a Program Analyst. Starting Pay is 35-40k...does anyone own experience working in a similar position, and has witnessed advanced-pay opportunity? At the interveiw the one woman claimed within 3-4 years I could see my salary double (performance near-term of course). Any truth to this you think?

According to the chart (ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-7 AND ABOVE), it states that after 1 year at each echelon (GS-7, GS -9, GS - 11), assuming I'm performing up to standards of course, I can become a GS-12, making a GS-12 salary, after 3 years...again, that would be 1 year at gs-7, 1 year at gs-9, and 1 year at gs-11.according to feed. gov't salaries, I'd go from GS-7 of give or take a few 40k, to GS-12 slaary of about 70k. What I'm wondering is if I should get my hopes up or should I not hold my breath?


Any 2 month job starting contained by January? Service job etc?
My life is messed. I live in Utah, I nanny for 2 family and I also have another job, and I jump to school...I'm going to China for 5 months in August. But I really obligation to get away in January or I'll walk insane but I just want to travel and work for 2 months cause I hold to be in Utah for March. Does anyone know of a job where on earth I can either teach english...or of late be of service...I don't even care if I get remunerated...I just want to get out of Utah for a bit while. Any help? PLEASE?


Any accepted wisdom on the military/jobs/what to do?
I've recently graduated from elevated school and my life seem to be headed no where at the moment, terribly. I work as a delivery driver so my job isn't too discouraging, but I'm looking for something more.. My highest score on the ACT (same as SAT) is individual 17, I know college's will accept this but I just do not ponder school is for me. I'm considering joining the USAF, hoping to get plenty of skills that will backing me in my life, including nice retirement funds within 20 years. Apart from money my concerns lie in me myself becoming a better being and actually gaining something from that experience. I enjoy a friend that is going to go to boot military camp with me next year if I in fact decide to go. I currently realize it's hard for me to pick sides in a brawl and I cannot currently decide if I want to join the upper air force or do something else. I guess what I'm asking is, would it be smart to join the military.. Or seeing how presidential things COULD turn out, would it be a bad decree? Any other feedback is appreciated. I like art and music soothes my head, it also keep things from being so quiet. So any employment ideas would be cool too. Thank you!

Any biddable Fund raise Ideas for a non-profit?
I work in a regional, non-profit halfway house, that is to say a great asset to our community, and surrounding areas. My problem is that due to rapid rising costs, and a fixed budget, we are in severe want of emergency funding. We have had to cut hindmost on many programs, and are still very realistically close to closing down. We are trying to mull over of good fund raising philosophy to help support our cause and preserve our facility open. Any good philosophy?

Any employment suggestions beside a point surrounded by entertainment and tourism?
I'm majoring in recreation and tourism. Not really similar to organizing vacations for individuals. but more like management for the park service. The college's description also includes the possibility of running fitness centers or planning activies for parks. I already enjoy worked three years for the park service on the maintenance crew so I have experience next to this organization. The problem is I've just worked as a laborer. While this is a great commission for a college student, I'll need a better paying career. And I also want to put my point to work. Alot of people working for maintenance don't enjoy degrees. I'm not limiting working to only the park service. I've be looking at government jobs through usajobs.opm.gov. I've still get two years of college to go. I like the park service work, but I also wouldn't mind the human resources pen with other government agencies. I'm hoping this is a broad through I will have and that I could be considered for many different job. Any suggestions?


Any FAA websites encyclopaedia employment requirements?
My bro is currently in school for ATC program. He will be due for an A.S. level graduation this June. I'm worried about his employment opportunity because money is tight and economy is impossible, so we are praying for him to get employment ASAP post graduation. So the strategy I recommended is for him to start applying a month or so before graduation, but his academy told him that they have a policy that does not allow their students to start the employment application process until AFTER graduation. Yet he found out there's another classmate who passed the preliminary exam in ANOTHER state beside flying colors and she's ALREADY set for employment immediately AFTER graduation (also an A.S. degree) this June. We know that it is the FAA requirement for pre-employment testing to be properly in ATC education program. We also know it's a reality that the FAA does take applicants "off the street," target without any prior ATC schooling or training. My question is.
