I hate the boring day job, i want something exciting somewhere. The military i thought about but decided against so explicitly not an option. I live in a insensible city with 26 thousand people. Anyone know of some city/place where on earth they have exciting jobs that will train? Is in that any cool jobs out there? perchance even a job that they give you a place to stay? I know they own jobs in alaska where on earth you live on the ship or in this factory setting while you work 16 hour days. Anyone own guidance on applying for an Americorps/VISTA situation?
I applied for a job at a non-profit last year, but didn't seize hired. Well, I got a letter from them finishing week saying they're recruiting VISTA volunteers to start working here this summer. The letter said that if I am interested, I should contact this particular personage who works there. I would LOVE to work for this organization, even as a VISTA volunteer. However, I've emailed and call their contact person, and she hasn't returned either of my messages. Should I lately send her a resume? Or should I go through the process of applying through the VISTA/Americorps trellis site? The organization still has my resume, and the process of applying through the VISTA website looks intensely dull. I have an extensive work history and really don't want to have to completely re-type my resume into the VISTA examine and answer format. Plus, I just want THIS job - I don't really want to apply for any other VISTA positions. Thanks within advance for any info.
